Friday Harbour - Vendor Market Series

Friday Harbour is hosting a vibrant outdoor marketplace featuring local vendors and entertainment, open every weekend from May through September! With something for everyone, the Vendor Market offers a unique range of artisanal products, fashion and accessories, bath and body products, décor, and more. Be sure to also visit the CIBC Pier to enjoy live music and our Friday Harbour retailers located along the Promenade for more exciting finds! Free admission and parking. Treetop Trekking At Horseshoe Resort

 Now until November 12th. Treetop Trekking is all about fun! Surround yourself in nature while exploring the forest during one of our unforgettable adventure activities. They've got something for all ages and abilities.

Open Air Dunlop

Starting on June 10th Dunlop Street will be closed to cars from Maple Avenue to Mulcaster twice a month, making room for community. You can roll and stroll, shop and patio hop. There’s lots of fun activities planned such as yoga, dance and fitness classes, art activities, live music and more.

Barrie Air Show

The 2023 Barrie Airshow, presented by Pratt Homes, will be taking place on Saturday, June 10th & Sunday June 11th. The free and family-friendly event is in partnership with the City of Barrie, the Canadian Forces Base Borden, the County Simcoe, and the Downtown Barrie BIA. Iconic Canadian aircraft and demonstration teams will be taking to the skies over Kempenfelt Bay at 1pm each day with an opening address starting at approximately 12:30pm. The show will include the Canadian Forces Snowbirds (431 Air Demonstration Squadron), the Canadian Armed Forces SkyHawks Parachute Team, a CF-18 tactical demonstration, and the Northern Stars Aeroteam.
 The weekend will also include:
 Saturday & Sunday, 9am-4pm. Activities and vendors at Heritage Park, including Canadian Forces Base Borden interactive displays, vehicles, and the kiddie commando course.
Saturday, 5pm. Live music with Vitalogy, Pearl Jam tribute band at Meridian Place.
Saturday, dusk (approx. 9:30pm)Film screening of Top Gun: Maverick at Meridian Place.

Curbside Giveaway Day

Saturday, June 10th 8am–9pm. Curbside Giveaway Days (previously New to Me Day) take place twice per year in Barrie, in the spring and in the fall. They are a chance for residents to get rid of used items that others might like. It's like a garage sale, but without the money or hassle. Everything you place at the end of your driveway or lawn on the specified day is free for others to pick up. Clearly label items you wish to give away as “FREE” and place them at the curb. Items can be placed at the curb starting at 8am. Anything that does not find a new home must be taken back in by 9pm the same day, as there will be no special municipal collection.

Braestone Farm Spring Market

Join us for the first Braestone Market of the year, June 10th & 11th from 9am-3pm. We're excited to host some of the best vendors the local area has to offer.

Midland Butter Tart Festival

June 10, 2023 from 9am-5pm the downtown core and waterfront parks will host 200 vendors and food trucks for Ontario's Best Butter Tart Festival.  Vendors sell everything from butter tarts to unique, hand-made items.  And the variety of butter tarts you’ll find at our festival includes plain, raisin, pecan, walnut, skor, maple, bacon, coconut, chocolate covered, PB&J, s’mores, gluten-free, vegan, nut-free, cheesecake, pumpkin...and many more. The Dairy Farmers of Ontario Entertainment Stage will feature family-friendly musical performances all day. And kids will love the Kids Zone in Harbourside Park. 

Orillia Rib & Beer Fest

Alliston Ribfest

Alliston Ribfest is back and will take place on Friday June 9th to Sunday June 11th,  held at PPG Park. Produced by Ontario Festival Group we are bringing 4 of North America’s Best Rib Teams coming from Florida, Alabama, BC and Ontario. These “Pitmasters” are ready to serve you and your friends Award-Winning Mouth-Watering BBQ Smoked Ribs. There will be a variety of festival foods like corn dogs, roasted corn, poutines, funnel cakes and of course to wash it all down nice cold beer. There will be plenty of activities including a Spectacular Midway, Free Face painting, Marketplace, Artisans and more… Watch Live Music all weekend long including amazing Tributes plus a variety of local bands. $5 Admission, Children 10 & Under Free. Parking Free.
