Friday Night Flick

Family movie night anyone? Come out this Friday at 2:30 & 6:30pm to our Painswick Branch Public Library in Barrie and enjoy this week’s Friday Flick; Super Mario Bros (1hr 26m).

Barrie's Farmers Market

Interested in some live music, fresh local produce, baked goods and free activities for the kids? Check out Barrie’s Farmers Market on Saturdays 9am-1pm. Now outside for the season.

Friday Harbour - Vendor Market Series

Friday Harbour is hosting a vibrant outdoor marketplace featuring local vendors and entertainment, open every weekend from May through September! With something for everyone, the Vendor Market offers a unique range of artisanal products, fashion and accessories, bath and body products, décor, and more. Be sure to also visit the CIBC Pier to enjoy live music and our Friday Harbour retailers located along the Promenade for more exciting finds! Free admission and parking. Events Times: Saturdays: 11am - 8pm Sundays: 11am - 6pm

Sandy Shores Kitchen and Café

July 28th - 10am–1pm. Play in the Sandy Shores mud/sand kitchen! Engage in sensory play and enjoy outdoor activities at various City beaches. Kids can use their imagination to cook up all sorts of imaginary dishes and have fun getting their hands dirty, while exploring and learning about nature. This event is in partnership with the Barrie Public Library. 

Treetop Trekking At Horseshoe Resort

 Now until November 12th. Treetop Trekking is all about fun! Surround yourself in nature while exploring the forest during one of our unforgettable adventure activities. They've got something for all ages and abilities.

Open Air Dunlop

Head to Downtown Barrie to enjoy a pedestrian-friendly on select Saturday's from June to October, where you can explore local shops, restaurants, live entertainment and more. Visit the website for regular updates on event programming.

Kolours of KOA WEEKend

July 28th-August 3rd. This weekend we're celebrating all things colour! We're busting out all the favourites, like tie-dye, Colour Time, and sprinkles of social fun. The whole campground will be ablaze with the harmonious colours of the rainbow. It's time to get creative!

South Bay Fields Lavender Farm

Wander through 5,000 lavender plants of 8 different varieties spread across 3 unique planting arrangements. Take a break on our garden bench swings situated in the middle of 1000+ blooming English lavender. Relax in our Muskoka chairs situated throughout the lavender fields. Take a stroll through our winding relaxation path which guides you through our canola field and wildflower field containing over 27 different wildflower species. Visit our open air shop (yes, that is a fancy way of saying tent) with all of our lavender goodies available for purchase.   In addition to our products, you can also purchase fresh lavender and sunflower bundles harvested the morning of your visit. Learn about growing, harvesting and distilling lavender from one of our friendly staff.

Blueberry Pancake Festival

Join Barrie Hill Farms on July 29th & July 30th, alongside The Knights of Columbus, in their annual Blueberry Pancake Festival! Bring all your family and friends for yummy blueberry pancakes made with their very own farm-fresh blueberries! Proceeds will go to support Hospice Simcoe and all the great things they do. Make memories while supporting a great cause! Admission: Adult Pancake Breakfast: $12; Child Pancake Breakfast (12 & under): $8 Breakfasts include blueberry pancakes, breakfast sausages, maple syrup and juice or coffee.

Innisfil Ribfest 2023

July 28th-30th. The 5th Annual, Innisfil Ribfest 2023, Presented by Ontario Festival Group will take place at Sunset Speedway convenient for area residents and visitors from all over. Featuring 4 of North America’s Best Rib Teams ready to serve you, your friends and family Award-Winning Mouth-Watering BBQ Smoked Ribs, Tender Pulled Pork, Juicy Smoked Brisket, BBQ Chicken, Smoked Sausage and those huge Beef “Dino” Ribs. There will be a variety of festival foods like The Bloomin’ Onion, roasted corn, poutines, and of course to wash it all down nice cold beer in the Great Lakes Beer Garden. Watch Live Music all weekend long featuring amazing Tributes bands plus a variety of local bands. Midway Rides and carnival games for all ages!

Get accessible recreation services and summer fun right in your own neighbourhoods. Back again for a third year, the Summer Fun Trailer will be travelling to various locations for the 2023 summer season (weather permitting). Equipment can be loaned out for free to use in the park on that day. Equipment is for all ages, and can be signed out by participants 12 years and older. Equipment includes, but is not limited to:
Spike ball
Ladder golf sets
Basketballs
Frisbee
Soccer balls
Skateboards
Scooters
Helmets
Arts & crafts
Mural colouring
First-come, first-served basis.
