Penetanguishene Winterama
It’s the annual Penetanguishene Winterama this Friday through Sunday! The event will be a hybrid of both in-person and online activities. Some of the activities include bingo, a virtual magic show, trivia, crokicurl, a snow sculpture contest and more!
Hello Winter
In lieu of Barrie’s traditional Winterfest, the City will be hosting Hello Winter throughout February & March. There will be a hot cocoa trail, outdoor fun at various parks throughout the city and more! On Saturday the Barrie Public Library will have a grab-and-go craft and on Sunday there will be a historic walking tour of downtown Barrie. For Family Day Monday there will be sleigh rides, outdoor skating, broomball and even axe throwing at the Barrie Community Sportsplex.
Family Fun Fest at the Orillia Fairgrounds
The Orillia Fairgrounds Farmers’ Market is having a free Family Fun Fest this Saturday. The day includes a petting zoo, snow creation contest, a family photo contest, a scavenger hunt, fire pits for making smores and more!
Rural Lights & Winter Nights
Discover Clearview is running Rural Lights & Winter Nights through to Feb 28th. This self-guided tour has over 20 dazzling lights displays at 14 locations in Clearview township including local parks and community halls. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #discoveringclearview #RuralLights when you post your selfies on social media!
Snowshoe & Chilli Cookout
Head to Snow Valley on Saturday for a Snowshoe & Chilli Cookout! The moonlit guided tour will last 1.5 - 2 hours with an open bonfire, hot bowl of chilli and treats halfway through the tour.
Barrie Farmer's Market
Check out the outdoor Barrie Farmer's Market Saturday between 8AM - 12PM. The market features a range of vendors and products including fresh produce, meat, baked goods, honey, maple syrup and more. If you don't have time to shop the market there is also an option to place an order online for pick-up.
Torchlit Snowshoeing at Snow Valley
Take a self-guided snowshoe tour through the forests of Snow Valley on Sunday lit by over 100 torches. The looped trail is 2.6km and has a bonfire to stop along the way.
