Friday Harbour - Vendor Market Series

Friday Harbour is hosting a vibrant outdoor marketplace featuring local vendors and entertainment, open every weekend from May through September! With something for everyone, the Vendor Market offers a unique range of artisanal products, fashion and accessories, bath and body products, décor, and more. Be sure to also visit the CIBC Pier to enjoy live music and our Friday Harbour retailers located along the Promenade for more exciting finds! Free admission and parking. Treetop Trekking At Horseshoe Resort

Sunflower Experience at Rounds Ranch

Now until September 4th. Your Sunflower Experience includes:
- A scenic wagon ride to the back of the Ranch
- Meander through 10 acres of 60 different varieties of beautiful cut flowers and experience peace and tranquility in the quietness of a large field.

- Experience the thrill of going down the 500′ Slip’n’Slide (additional fee)

South Bay Fields Lavender Farm

Wander through 5,000 lavender plants of 8 different varieties spread across 3 unique planting arrangements. Take a break on our garden bench swings situated in the middle of 1000+ blooming English lavender. Relax in our Muskoka chairs situated throughout the lavender fields. Take a stroll through our winding relaxation path which guides you through our canola field and wildflower field containing over 27 different wildflower species. Visit our open air shop (yes, that is a fancy way of saying tent) with all of our lavender goodies available for purchase.   In addition to our products, you can also purchase fresh lavender and sunflower bundles harvested the morning of your visit. Learn about growing, harvesting and distilling lavender from one of our friendly staff.

Barrie Dragon Boat Festival

The Barrie Public Library is proud to host the 19th annual Barrie Dragon Boat Festival, celebrating community spirit, vitality and unity.
Event Time: 8am - 6pm. Admission: Free

Pets & Pints Event 

When you come to Quayle’s Brewery, bringing your pet with you is encouraged! On Saturday, August 19th we encourage you to bring your pets, dogs, horses, pygmy goats.. You name it! Pets are family members too. We have water coolers, dog bowls and pet pools available throughout our grounds to make sure your fur babies stay hydrated and cool. We have a jam packed agenda which includes contests and pet photoshoots. 1-2pm Pet-Look-a-Like Contest. 2-3pm Treat Toss Contest. 3-4pm Pet Trick(s) Contest. 3-5pm Free photos with your pet. We are family friendly. Kids are welcome. Please keep your dogs on leash and remember to drink responsibly. Your pets look up to you, after all.

Georgian Bay Festival

Georgian Bay Festival is a family focused event nestled in a beautiful rural setting in the Heart of Georgian Bay. We will be showcasing and celebrating our local agriculture, artists, craftsmen and entrepreneurs.

23rd Annual Classic Car Show

A jaw-dropping collection of over 300 classic cars line the Downtown streets! Enjoy live entertainment, great dining, shopping and the largest car show in the region! It is our privilege to invite you to bring your vehicle to our 23rd Annual Downtown Orillia Classic Car Show being held this year on Saturday August 19th, 9am-5pm. We know that you will enjoy the live music and activities taking place throughout the day.

Get accessible recreation services and summer fun right in your own neighbourhoods. Back again for a third year, the Summer Fun Trailer will be travelling to various locations for the 2023 summer season (weather permitting). Equipment can be loaned out for free to use in the park on that day. Equipment is for all ages, and can be signed out by participants 12 years and older. Equipment includes, but is not limited to:
Spike ball
Ladder golf sets
Basketballs
Frisbee
Soccer balls
Skateboards
Scooters
Helmets
Arts & crafts
Mural colouring
First-come, first-served basis.
